EARTH FOR MUSIC - an Earth Day Benefit event hosted by George Jano
Earth For Music - EarthDay Charity Event hosted by George Jano & Friends, Various, Harford County, Maryland
Hey folks! What are you doing for the Earth this Earth day? George Jano organizing a hike/cleaning up of human litter that has found its way to places that no one will seem to clean up. In exchange for two bags of trash(per person) I will be trading you a free copy of my new album "Good For You," being released on the same day. A small group of us(not yet a group but seeking volunteers) will be hosting a trash removal event, gathering in 3 locations around Harford and Baltimore county. They will be my trusted group and contact on the day of for everyone who wants to participate. By trusted group, this means a leader I can provide supplies to(bags gloves) and they collect and ensure the proper disposal of all trash and recycling collected. They will also have to provide me a list of names, and photos of people who came holding up full bags that they collected. This is to ensure no one brings a bag of garbage from home to scam me for my music. Lol Then later on that night, at the album release party, we'll have this list of names at the merchandise table, where participants can get their free copy. Participants will also receive a discounted cover price.1 album per 2 bags per 1 person. My main three group leaders will not only get a free copy of the new album but also get into the release party for free. There will be cover for participants at the door but it's still TBD and if it's higher than $5,Participants in the clean up will get it at a discounted rate.So it's pretty simple, and you'll be outdoors and hiking or closer to an urban area that really needs it. The group and I will trade people a free album for 2 bags of trash and a little bit of your time this upcoming Earth day.I guess it would make more sense for the title to be trash for music, but that didn't sound as appealing.I'm still looking for volunteers to lead the groups, and also suggestions for areas where you have seen a build of litter that no one has addressed for sometime. This can be local to you. But also needs to fit some other criteria listed below. -we can't be trespassing,-it has to be a safe and accessible area for participants to begin their search-it needs to be in places that people don't acknowledge enough. We could spend time in walmarts parking lot but Walmart is responsible for that, so be sure to let them know if you're every there. We have 2 locations in mind, with ideal group size-Atkinson dam off singer road (5 people max)-The Bike path in the center of Belcamp/Riverside. (5-7 people max)Disposal and transport of collected bags will be provided, by either the group leaders or if they don't have a truck to contribute, we will have transport to meet leaders at the clean up locations. Please contact us on here if you interested in participating and in what capacity. Also if you have any suggestions on locations to add, lets hear it.I can only provide so much disposal, so in the event we have a group that wants to organize in a more distant area, I would need to verify proper disposal options before we send anyone else out there.
